It is the time of the year again, unfortunately. That time where the remnants of summer are long since past and all were left with is cold. And wind. And rain. It is slightly ironic that, as I type this, the skies are blue outside and it is almost sunny, but the other points still stand. It is pitch black first thing in the morning, it is freezing cold all day long and people are desperately trying to wrap up warm against the harsh weather outside.
So what kinds of things do we need? Any biologist will tell you it is all about keeping your extremities warm – meaning that the blood pumping around your body stays warm when it comes back into your core. Gloves, then, are essential and not something I see enough of. Hats, too, are encouraged but as far as fashion is concerned a lot of people feel they can’t rock a good hat. It is a fine balance between keeping toasty and keeping cool.
