The Different Styles of Bifold Wallets

Women have purses available to them in many different styles, and men have wallets. But when considering the wallets men have available to them, it can seem like there are fewer design choices for them. But when it comes to simple bifold wallets you’ll be surprised to know there are multiple styles on the market.

So, what are some of the different styles available?

One of the main style differences when it comes to these wallets is their fastening choices. Most commonly you will see them having a popper button with a clasp with holds the wallet shut. This is the most common as it is incredibly easy to use, and allows the wallet to have more flexibility in growth depending on how much money you are storing in there whilst still keeping it securely closed. Another fastening style is having a zipper. These are less common as they do restrict the wallet and limit storage space. Even though zippers are more secure, they do take longer to open and close, which is not something you want when dealing with money out and about. Finally, there is the style of having no fastening at all and the wallet is completely open. This is another popular choice for those who want quick and easy access without the hassle of opening a button or zipper. This option offers the most storage with optimal growing room. However, it is not secure and you may find money easily falls out of your wallet.

Another style choice you will have when considering bifold wallets is the interior. Each wallet will come with a large back pocket for storing notes, as well as pockets on the inside suitable for storing credit cards, debit cards and loyalty cards. However, the choice comes when you are considering coin storage. Some wallets do not have space for storing any coins. Others come with a pouch with a popper button fastening, these tend to be a large pouch suitable for storing a fairly large amount of coins. Another option is a pocket behind your cards, fastened with a zip. These will be a smaller area, only suitable for a few coins, which is harder to access but the most secure.

Finally, bifold wallets do come in a range of colours and materials. The most common material for a wallet is leather, which will tend to be black or brown in colour. Also on the market are lightweight wallets made from cotton and other waterproof materials. They are available in a variety of colours including black, brown, blue, green, and red, with some being embellished with designs, patterns and logos, giving you the opportunity to express your style through your wallet.

A bifold wallet is not as limited as it may have once seemed. There are many options to choose from and ample ways for you to follow your own style and not be stuck with one simple design.
