As I stride manfully around the chavvy streets of Kidderminster I find myself feeling confident. I see those around me wearing tracksuit bottoms with small Adidas backpacks that would barely fit a phone in and think; “Do I ever need to get out of here!” The truth is it can be hard to dress well when the place you’re in doesn’t call for it, or when those around you don’t – you often feel out of place. Shorts are a prime candidate for this feeling.
Around here you’ll see two types of shorts; those in the gym or massive cargo shorts, full to the brim with wallets and phones or whatever paraphernalia they might need. Mine? Barely touch the knee. Chino material, rolled up at the bottom couple with a brown belt. They’re stylish. They’re classy and it’s nice to have my legs on show in this weather for a change!
